From our 2007 Story Review:

The four hour Point of Sale Installation

Que Pasa is a Mexican Restaurant that opened in 2007. They have dining, delivery, and call in orders. They are open from breakfast to dinner, 7 days a week. On weekends they have live music. They have a full menu which includes all the common Mexican food dishes, including lobster burritos, combo meals, and split dishes. They also have a bar & wine section, which requires inventory control.

They were using B/P/A POS Solution in 2007, but found it difficult and hard to work with. They had a difficult time entering menu items and modifying pricing. They needed a lot more.

CCS set Jalal, a partner in the restaurant, up with more features than he already had.

  • Prompt Modifiers – For all their dishes they needed a lot of options
  • Regular Modifiers – For quick easy options
  • Split Plates
  • Seat Selection – They wanted to easily identify seating.

Within 4 hours their menu was entered, there employees entered. They could print to their kitchen process orders and balance their server’s checks at the end of shifts. They didn't need to change out any hardware. They had two stations, both used Dell Computers, Elo Touch Screens and Epson Thermal Printers. They had one kitchen printer.

How did we get their menu in so fast?

Well, if you haven't checked out our Videos, you should. To make it plain and simple: we can enter in one main item, and the modifiers at about 15 to 20 seconds per item. You can further reduce the time, by putting your items in common price categories, color groups and other menu category setups. You almost just have to type in the menu name to setup the restaurant menu.

Where are they today: Update 2009.

Ownership has changed and CCS continue to work with Que Pasa. They continue to be successful and re-train with CCS when necessary. They use our low cost yearly support plan which covers all they need to operate successfully and free of issue.
