Number of Sites: 3

Review of Operations:

In 2004 Gaby's was referred by another customer of CCS. At that time they were a busy restaurant, open from 11AM to 2AM. They served a variety of Mediterranean style dishes, as well as Hookah's, wine and beer. We installed at their West Los Angeles location and their Venice Beach location. 3 Years later, they were performing a renovation of the Mediterranean location. They decided to upgrade their system.

Gaby's also purchased a third Fast Food Restaurant with a drive thru in Marina Del Ray, California. They converted the restaurant to their brand, called Gaby's Express. They decided to switch from the Pixel Point POS system that had been inside the old location.

Goals

Due to the success of their operations, they had goals that exceeded the ones from the initial installation.

  • Multi Site Reporting
  • Increased Inventory Control
  • Increased Fast Food Support and CRM Capabilities
  • Handheld Device Support
  • The fast food location had a sophisticated menu pricing and modifier scheme

Installing at the three sites:

Gaby's Mediterranean

Our reseller wired and installed the network for the software and the surveillance system. The site installed a terminal at the front, and instead of replacing their Patio with another terminal as they had in the past, they opted for a Handheld. They use integrated PC-Charge processing software to process charges from the patio, without having the server to go back to the computer terminal. They also replaced their server.

Venice Beach

Their Venice Beach location replaced their computer and upgraded their software to the current version. For three years the software worked with almost no failures. The only problems they ever had were with overheating of the computer system. Their computer before was not an all-in-one. The computer was placed in their lower shelf under their front counter. This kind of placement often causes an over heating in computers, because of low air circulation.

Marina Del Ray

The Marina Del Ray is their newest site. It is a fast food style restaurant, but does include sit down dining during their busier periods. They have a Drive Through Station and two more Cashier Stations. They also have a server.

Connectivity

All three sites can communicate with each other. A V.P.N was setup to give them inter connectivity. The CCS Back Office system allows them to switch between sites. This allows one main person to control certain aspects of the system. It also increases management oversight.

Examples of this connectivity include: auditing price changes, employees clocking in and out, voids and sales transactions

Conclusion

Gaby's is happy with their success and so are we. They continue to work with CCS on several new projects.
