Basic Cash Drawer Setup

There are two ways to open the cash drawer with CCS. Through the computer, or through the printer. If you have a USB Drawer, this document does not cover USB Cash Drawers.

Please note many cash drawer cables are unidirectional. Meaning one side goes to the printer/computer only and the other side goes the cash drawer only. If your printer has a side that says 'To Printer' that will go to the printer or computer, the other end will go to the cash drawer.

For when the drawer is plugged into the computer (OPOS Controls).

Download the file: CustDisplay - CashDrawer_v11c.zip

Unzip and run the PPOS_OPOS_SETUP Exe file included. Versions may be different depending on when you download.

Test the cash drawer using the program you just installed.

From the POS - Terminal - Login then from the Main Toolbar - Settings - Printers.

From section 1. Set the Port and Printer Type to the drop down option 'OPOSCashDrawer.exe' See Image Link Below
