Changing the Order Type in the Point of Sale Terminal

Changing the order type maybe required to affect how the sale of the order is processed.

Some orders do not apply tax, such as pay outs, orders to resellers etc. Therefore it's important to understand when to use this feature.

Two or more order types on One Order

Some times an order may require more than one order type. For example, customers may want to dine in, but take an order of items to go.

Instead of making two orders, the change order type option can be used. Don't select, “Update All Items.” so that all of the items already entered, will not be changed to the new order type. This will apply the correct tax for the new items, and in the print out to the prep areas. The items will be grouped properly for whomever is preparing the items.
