Pre-Package Conversion

Pre-Package Conversion is the conversion of bulk weighted items to packaged items of specific quantity.

For example, 300 bulk grams of Purple Kush to one gram packages of Purple Kush. This results in 2 separate inventory items, one of bulk weight and another of bar-coded individual items. These individual packages are labeled and can be reconciled.

After you have received your bulk inventory into your system. You will want to then process some of it into portions of 1 grams, 3.5 grams etc.

1. Start a new transaction. Office - (Main Toolbar) - Inventory - New Transaction
2. Set the Transaction as a 'Conversion' Type
3. Add the Pre-Packaged Items to the order, such as Purple Kush (1 g)
4. Input the quantity of the Item you are increasing.

Once you have entered all the items you have packaged into the transaction, press the 'Receive Order' button from the Transaction Toolbar.

The Conversion Type of transaction must be setup in the Transaction Types window.

Add a new Transaction Type of:

1. Conversion.
2. Set it as a 'Purchase Order'
3. Check off 'Process Inventory'
