Back Up Data

CCS has a few options for backup, on site and off site. These are both reviewed in two sections.

On Site Backup

Manually you can backup the database from Office - (main toolbar) - System - SQL Server Backup, then from the popup press backup.

CCS will backup the Database files on a day to day basis. This is set from the Office - Control Panel - Daily Report Section - Auto Backup.

The option to check off is SQL Server Backup.

The database is backed up to the “C:\Backups” folder. This backs up to the same computer that runs CCS. It's important to put this data on another storage device regularly.

Overtime the backups will begin to take up a large amount of space on your hard drive. It's important to delete the backups. Each backup file contains the full data from the database, so it's okay to delete the older backups.

SQLBackupAndFTP

SQLBackupAndFtp.com Is a great solution for backups if you run into problems using CCS's backup solution. Sometimes CCS will time out. In this kind of scenario, you will need to use a third party tool like SQLBackupandftp.com

Not only will the software perform a backup easily, but you can also schedule the backup and it has options for online backup as well.
