====== How do I add a new item through CCS ====== ===== Summary ===== A new item is a new product that needs to be added to CCS. This document will explain on how to add a new item and assign a specific price in CCS. ===== Add a new item ===== To add your new line of items in the POS system, you need to go OfficeTouch >>Menu Center>>Menu Layout. In the menu layout, add your new item in the menu layout grid. Double click a slot to add a new item and press enter. This would bring up the new product wizard where you will enter the price for an item and click on add new and continue to add this item in CCS. A snapshot of where to add an item in the menu layout screen is shown in Fig 1 below : {{:menu_layout.jpg|}} //Fig 1:// Menu Layout Grid in CCS ===== Assign a price to an item ===== The pricing is set in the select category or enter prices section of the add new product wizard. To assign a price ,click on add line and enter the unit/size (i.e. 1 oz or 1 bottle) and assign a price to it .You can follow this method to add additional items and their corresponding prices in CCS.
