Credit Card Problem Resolutions:

Credit Processor repeatedly doesn’t perform transactions: Sometimes PC Charge will need to be restarted. If you repeatedly see that the transactions are not processing do the following:

  • Perform this on the (server) computer. Exit the POS Terminal Application
  • Verify you have an internet connection.
  • Restart the credit card processing software.

Verify Internet Connection:

 Open internet explorer. If you don’t bring up a website then verify the router & DSL are working.

Verify Router & DSL are Working:

Turn off all CCS Applications:

  1. On each terminal hit the Key on the toolbar of the CCS Point of Sale Terminal. Then hit the exit button.
  2. Unplug the router. Unplug the DSL Modem.
  3. Wait 60 Seconds, plug back in the DSL Modem.
  4. Wait 60 Seconds, plug in the Router.
  5. Wait 60 seconds to restart the terminals.

Restart Credit Card Processing Software:

  1. Use a mouse or your finger to double click the Credit Processing Icon in the Task Bar (not on the desktop.)

(For PC Charge The Credit Card Application Message Box will appear. Press the “OK” button.)

  1. From the Credit Card Application toolbar go to File – Exit.
  2. Double click the Credit Card Application Icon on the desktop.
  3. This will re-initialize the application..

Verify Setup:

PC Charge:

In Terminal Settings: Verify the Computer name, Installation path of PC Charge, Merchant Processor, Merchant ID. and USERID For PC Charge.

X-Charge:

In Terminal Settings: Verify the correct path to the installation of X-Charge
