Voids in the Point of Sale Terminal

Voids affect the system and business in several ways. This section explains how CCS handles voids and how you can incorporate these methods into handling inventory and auditing of voids. Also, voids can be made on open orders and closed orders.

In order to register voids, comps and refunds in the POS System properly. You should have three transaction types. These can be set to not show in the POS terminal, but will be used during the VOID transactions.

*Requirement:

 Add Transaction Types **VOID, COMP and REFUND**

Auditing Voids:

All original prices are stored for auditing. Managers ID's are stored for the whomever voided the items. Void Reasons are stored.

Inventory:

Understanding voids is important for inventory management, as well as maintaining proper transaction history.
